PERSONALITY:
Victoire is first and foremost very protective of her family. It doesn't matter if it's one of her own siblings, one of her cousins or even honorary family members, they all mean the world to her and she would do anything to protect or defend them. Her family loyalty, however, is not only limited to protection. She is also a person that any of them can go to to talk about anything. She won't judge them and will always offer advice when asked. Sometimes, even when not asked. She's very good at giving her unsolicited opinions to family, friends or even complete strangers.
After her family, Selene is extremely dedicated to work, to the point of being a workaholic. She will often spend late hours trying to get things finished and has been known to sleep in her office from time to time. When people intervene and send her home, she often takes her work home with her, much to the dismay of her coworkers, family and close friends. The same applied in school, she was often the first person to get any assignment done and when she knew what they would be doing next, she would work ahead.
She does, however, leave time for fun. She had a few non-serious boyfriends in her early years at Hogwarts, but after accepting her feelngs for Teddy, that changed. During the couple's breakups, Victoire would often go on a date or two with someone else to prove that she was over him, but once again it was never serious. And she couldn't get her mind off the one she really loved. Their latest breakup, however, left her devoting even more time to work. Fun has become a thing of the past.
Despite her chosen profession, Victoire isn't much of a risk taker. She chose her career to make her dad happy--though she would never admit to him that that was the reason, and she does enjoy it. The thrill of the risk gets to her more than she'd like to admit. Perhaps that was the reason she was sorted into Gryffindor. There's a closet firecracker hidden deep within her.
She's very calculating and intuitive, causing her to almost always be a step or two ahead of anyone else. Some of her co-workers view this as a threat as they believe it will get her promotions and the bigger assignments, while others view it as an asset and will often bounce ideas off her regarding cases they are working on.
HISTORY:
Victoire was born on May 2nd, 2000, the first daughter of Bill and Fleur Weasley and the first of many Weasley cousins to come. Since her birth was on the date of the anniversary of the ending of the Second Wizarding War, Fleur had chosen the French word for 'victory' as a celebration of what a close family friend had accomplished just two years before.
She was followed a year later by Dominique and the last child born to the couple, Louis came sometime later. Like any of the Weasley kids, Victoire grew up in a very loving family, who she could always count on. If she couldn't go to her parents, she had many aunts and uncles and four loving grandparents to confide in. None of them, however, topped Teddy Lupin.
Being close to the family, many of them considered Teddy to be just another one of them. Victoire considered him to be her best friend. In their earlier years, he was someone to have fun with but he was also someone who could really understand her on a level most people couldn't. She couldn't really explain the connection they had, but it meant the world to her.
As Victoire started Hogwarts and found that boys were instantly attracted to her, it was Teddy who helped her fight them off. He'd always been protective of her but this showed an entirely new level of protectiveness. She did date some of the boys, of course. Probably more of them than Teddy would have liked, but none of her relationships were serious. They couldn't be. Nothing the boys felt was real, and Victoire wasn't entirely sure she could feel anything at all.
The most confusing time in her life was when Victoire began to realize that her love for Teddy was more than that of a best friend. She fought it for a while but Teddy wouldn't let her ignore him. Eventually, she had to admit her fear that he only liked her because of the veela gene. After some arguing about it, she admitted that maybe he was somehow unaffected by it and she decided to give dating him a try.
Their relationship over the years hasn't been easy. They've broken up on more than a few occasions, but no matter what tore them apart in the first place, they always ended up back together. It could be counted on.
After leaving Hogwarts, Victoire got a job at Gringott's as a Cursebreaker, following in her father's footsteps. She often doubts her decision, figuring that she would be better suited for a less adventurous job, but deep down she actually enjoys it.
The hardest decision of her life came when she was asked to go to Egypt for work. She expected Teddy to come with her, but he wasn't willing. She could either stay with Teddy or go where her job wanted her, and in the end she chose her job. Though it might be more stubbornness than being addicted to work that caused her to choose it. Because as much as she loves Teddy, she can't be told what to do.
She's been there for six months now and at times, she regrets leaving Teddy. She misses him. But she has more respect for herself because she held her ground. Sometimes she has to wonder, though, was it really worth the sacrifice? Will he have found someone else when she returns home?
